NNG is seeking a Configuration Specialist to join our Budapest-based department responsible for managing map content for in-car navigation systems.
Do you want to be part of the process that enhances the navigation customer experience by keeping the map content fresh and up-to-date?
You are the ideal candidate if you are proficient in Excel, have experience with descriptive languages, and are comfortable using FTP and file management systems. If you are willing to learn our internal tools, configure parameters in them based on documentation, are communicative, helpful, and willing to support stakeholders on professional issues, and are interested in joining a great team, then we are looking for you!
 
What would be your responsibilities?
 
  • Configure Excel catalogs supported by macros and internally developed tools
  • Adjust and update interrelated XML files
  • Maintain systems for storing and managing new navigation content
  • Oversee the online map product offerings and handle the related internal administration and documentation in CMS/Git systems
  • Continuously explore how to automate, accelerate and streamline the current process in response to changing project needs
  • Actively participate in and share knowledge within the professional community
 
The ideal candidate should possess the following
 
Experience: University degree, Bachelor's (BSc)
Language Skills: Strong knowledge of Hungarian and English
Technical Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of descriptive languages (e.g. XML, HTML, JSON…)
  • Proficient in Excel, experience with VBA macros
  • Experience with using FTP, file management systems
  • Basic knowledge of CMS (Content Management System e.g. Joomla, Open CMS…)

Quality-oriented attitude, attention to detail, high level of independence and proactivity, excellent communication skills, ability to quickly and effectively process new information based on training materials, with a strong understanding of the broader context.
Bravery to speak up candidly, if you see risks, problems or if you want to propose ways to improve the process.
 
Moreover, if you have any of the following
 
  • Basic knowledge of a scripting language (e.g.Python, VBA, Bash, Ruby, PHP, JavaScript ...)
  • Familiarity with Version Control Systems (SVN, GIT)
  • Experience in writing documentation
  • Experience in ticketing system
